As much colder Arctic air moves in, the concern will be any refreezing of surfaces as temperatures plunge to the 10s. So, black ice could be an issue on roads and sidewalks.
VERY COLDMonday with morning with flurries and wind chills near 0 to -5 at higher elevations and 5 to 15 valley. Otherwise, sunny and breezy with highs staying below freezing all day- barely reaching 30. A NW breeze @ 15-25 mph will hold wind chill values in the teens this afternoon.
Low temps Monday Night into Tuesday Morning: single digits to near 10.Feels like temps at this time could be below 0 in spots. Tuesday morning looks to be coldest morning out of the next 7. Highs for Tuesday should make it back above freezing, but still cold.
Wednesday and through Friday will feature temperatures remaining below average: highs in the 30s and lows in the 20s. Mainly dry conditions.
Another Arctic blast could arrive for the start of the weekend along with a potential storm along the US East Coast. This could mean another round of very cold conditions locally, but any precipitation chance remains uncertain at this time.
