Leinster wing Tommy O’Brien is an injury concern for Saturday’s Investec Champions Cup final against Bordeaux-Begles at San Mames Stadium in Bilbao (14:45 BST).

The 27-year-old will be further assessed after withdrawing from the matchday squad for the 68-14 United Rugby Championship win over Ospreys at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday.

The Ireland international sustained a knock in training and a decision on his fitness will be made later in the week.

Brian Deeny, Joshua Kenny and Paddy McCarthy will also be monitored, with decisions on their availability also to be made later in the week.

Centre Hugh Cooney sustained a injury against Ospreys and will be unavailable for the rest of the season.

Leinster are aiming to secure a fifth European title, eight years after their last success, as they take on the defending champions.

The Irish province have lost four finals since lifting the trophy in 2018, going down to Saracens in 2019, La Rochelle in 2022 and 2023, and Toulouse in 2024.
