Good evening, Central New York. We’re wrapping up the day for you with the most important stories you need to know and your weather outlook.

Tonight will be blustery and extremely cold with localized lake snow. Wind chill values will be well below zero Saturday morning.

Bitterly cold temperatures and harsh wind chills will continue through the weekend. Highs will likely reach only in the single digits and teens for many each day.

While lake snow tapers on Saturday, we are expecting a high impact (widespread) snowfall Sunday into Monday. Travel will be greatly impacted during this time, including the Monday morning commute.

This system has the potential to produce at least 8-18″+ of snow across the region.

Temperatures will remain very cold into and through all of next week.
