Bus replacement for trains between Shropshire and Wales

Advertisements

Transport for Wales rail services between Shrewsbury and Machynlleth will be closed for nearly two weeks from Friday, due to essential engineering work.

National Rail said the maintenance would include track renewal between Glantwymyn and Machynlleth, embankment strengthening in the Talerddig area, and key maintenance between Shrewsbury and Aberystwyth.

As a result, buses will replace trains on the route until 2 April.

National Rail added that replacement vehicles would be busier than usual, and commuters should allow extra time for their journeys.
