Richard and Tiego Beckles are wanted in connection with the murder of Trey Johnson, 30, on Christmas Day

Police have appealed for help in finding two brothers wanted over the murder of a man on Christmas Day.

Trey Johnson, 30, was fatally stabbed on Burcot Avenue, Wolverhampton, just after 03:30 GMT and died at the scene.

The West Midlands force has named Tiego Beckles, 20, and brother Richard Beckles, 19, from Wolverhampton, as suspects in its investigation.

Det Insp Michelle Cordell, from the homicide unit, said: “Tiego and Richard Beckles will know that they are wanted, and I’d urge them to do the right thing and hand themselves in to police, before we find them.”

“If you know where they are or have information that could help us find them, no matter how insignificant you think it might be, I’d urge you to get in touch with us now,” she added.

Detectives have been speaking to witnesses and recovering CCTV footage as part of their inquiries, the force said.

Ms Cordell said any information provided by the public would be treated “in the strictest of confidence”.

She added anyone helping the pair evade officers faced being arrested themselves.
