British and Irish Lions: Which player has scored the most points in history?

Former Scotland full-back Andy Irvine holds the record for the most points scored in British and Irish Lions history.

Irvine, who played in nine Tests between 1974 and 1980, scored a total of 281 points for the Lions across Test matches and tour games.

Irvine scored 156 points in 15 games during his first tour to South Africa 1974.

Irvine was also part of the touring squads for the 1977 tour of New Zealand and the 1980 trip to South Africa.

Next highest on the list is Phil Bennett. The former Wales fly-half scored 236 points, with 44 of them in Test matches, during the 1974 and 1977 tours.

Third on the list is former England full-back Bob Hiller who scored 214 points across the 1968 South Africa tour and the 1971 New Zealand tour.
