A murder investigation is under way after a man who was seriously assaulted in Bristol died in hospital, police have said.
Avon and Somerset Police said it was understood the deceased man was stabbed by another man at about 17:40 BST on Stapleton Road in the city’s east on Friday.
He was treated in Southmead Hospital but he died later in the evening, the force said.
One man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and “arrest attempts are continuing”, police said.
