Boy missing after going swimming in Beckenham Place park lake

A 16-year-old boy has gone missing in a south-east London lake after getting into difficulty in the water.

The Metropolitan Police was called at about 15:10 BST to Beckenham Place park.

Emergency services have co-ordinated a search and the park has been evacuated to facilitate the search, the force said.

The boy’s family have been told and are currently being supported, Met officers said.
