Boy, 16, dies in tractor crash

A 16-year-old boy has died in a tractor crash in County Clare, gardaí (Irish police) have confirmed.

The single-vehicle collision happened at Bunnahow, north of the village of Crusheen, shortly before 14:00 local time on Saturday.

The teenager, who was the sole occupant of the tractor, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí have appealed to witnesses who were travelling on the R458 road between Gort and Crusheen around the time of the collision to contact them.
