Tyler’s family thanked Only Men Aloud “for the beautiful singing during the service and after”.

In response, the choir said it had been an “honour and a privilege”.

“Recording Total Eclipse of the Heart with Bonnie was a career highlight for us all and to be able to sing that very song at her funeral was incredibly special,” the choir said in a social media post.

“We are so grateful to the family for trusting us to be part of the service.”

Tyler’s family also thanked Reverend Canon Justin Anthony, saying his “passion… made it so very special”.

She was “loved by millions worldwide”, talent scout Roger Bell, who discovered her, told mourners at the church service, while fans outside later shouted “we love you Bonnie” as the cortege left.

Her family’s Facebook message acknowledged that Tyler could “not believe all the adoration was for her” when she saw messages on her own social media pages.

While known as a global popstar to some, she was also “Gaynor who lived up the road” as she split her time between the Mumbles and a home in Portugal.
