BMW Ladies Championship: Australia’s Hannah Green wins third LPGA title of the season

Australia’s Hannah Green held on to claim her third LPGA title of the season – and sixth overall – with a one-shot victory at the BMW Ladies Championship in Paju, South Korea.

The world number eight held a two-shot overnight lead and her one-under-par 71 in Sunday’s final round proved enough for the victory.

Green, whose only major came at the Women’s PGA Championship in 2019, joined American Nelly Korda and New Zealand’s Lydia Ko as the only women with at least three wins on the LPGA tour in 2024.

France’s Celine Boutier had put the 27-year-old under pressure, taking the clubhouse lead on 18-under after firing five birdies in the final seven holes to close with the day’s lowest score of 66.

Green needed a birdie on the par-four 17th to regain the outright lead on 19 under, and clinched the title with a par at the last.

Earlier, Thailand’s Chanettee Wannasaen had moved level with Green at the turn after closing a five-shot gap with four birdies and an eagle on the front nine.

But two bogeys on the back nine saw her drop back to finish third on 17 under.
