Police are treating an attack on a house in north Belfast as arson.

Just before midnight on Tuesday a bin was placed inside the kitchen of a house in Ceylon Street and set alight.

The suspect ran through the house and left through an open bedroom window.

No-one was at home at the time.

Police attended alongside colleagues from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service.

This is being treated as arson with intent to endanger life and officers are appealing to anyone who may have relevant information to get in touch.
