Belfast: Man found dead was a wee character, says homelessness charity

A homeless charity has said a man whose body was found in Belfast city centre was a regular user of their services.

The police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the man’s sudden death in James Street South.

His body was discovered earlier on Wednesday and his name has not been released yet.

A spokesperson for Belfast Homeless Services, which is based close to where the man’s body was found, told BBC News NI that the man had been using their services over the past few years.

The charity described him as “a wee character” and said it remembered him “dancing to music” in their centre during one of his recent visits to the charity.
