One of Kyiv’s main government buildings has been damaged in overnight missile and drone strikes by Russia.

Until now, no government building has been hit with the centre of Kyiv very heavily defended since the start of the full-scale invasion.

Elsewhere in the city, several multi-storey residential buildings were struck and partially destroyed in the attacks, two people have died, including an infant and 16 others are injured.

The BBC’s Sarah Rainsford saw the attack and reports from Kyiv.
