Banwell Beacons pan-disability football team launches

A new football team for disabled people has started in Weston-super-Mare.

The Banwell Beacons was formed by support workers who wanted to organise football in the town but struggled to find a suitable training venue.

They approached Banwell FC, who arranged for pitches and volunteered their players to coach the team for free.

Now the club is expanding, and will also host football sessions for people under the age of 16 as well as adults.
