Banstead boy visits every London Overground, DLR station in a day

A Surrey schoolboy who visited every London Overground and Docklands Light Railway (DLR) station in under 24 hours said the challenge was “exhausting but amazing”.

George, a 10-year-old transport enthusiast from Banstead, mapped the route which saw him go past 113 Overground stations and 45 DLR stops in a day.

The Banstead Prep student completed the route with his mum, leaving the town at 05:00 on 7 August and arriving back into Sutton at 00:28 BST the following morning.

George said: “I have always loved trains. Last year I did the underground challenge to visit every underground station in a day and wanted to do something again this year.”
