Bangor: Car driver arrested after motorcyclist dies in crash

A motorcyclist has died and a car driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following an early morning collision.

Emergency services attended after a crash was reported at 06:55 GMT on Thursday between a Honda bike and grey Volkswagen Tiguan at the top of the A487 Faenol Hill, in Bangor, Gwynedd.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital at Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor, where he died. His next of kin and the coroner have been told.

The driver of the Tiguan has been released while the investigation continues, and North Wales Police are appealing for witnesses.
