Ballymena: Man left with ‘deep lacerations’ on face after assault

A man is in hospital with deep lacerations on both cheeks and a suspected broken leg, after being assaulted in Ballymena.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) received a report of a serious assault at about 22:00 BST on Friday.

Officers conducted a search of flats on the Larne Road.

Four men have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

The injured man, who is in his 50s, is receiving treatment. Detectives have asked anyone with information to contact them.
