Avon and Somerset police dog ‘earns steak’ after finding drugs haul

One of Avon and Somerset Police’s newest search dogs has “earned a steak” after sniffing out a drugs haul worth about £170,000.

PD Raven was brought in to search a property in Easton, Bristol, after plain clothes officers saw a man exchanging items with another man for money.

After he was arrested, police then searched his home and PD Raven led officers to drugs and cash concealed under floorboards.

Kamar Lewis, 41, of Kensington Park, Easton, pleaded guilty to being in possession of Class A and Class B drugs, and possessing criminal property.

He was jailed for six years at Bristol Crown Court on 12 September.
