Australian windsurfer escapes shark attack

Australian windsurfer Andy McDonald recalls surviving a shark attack in Margaret River, Western Australia earlier this week.

Mr McDonald encountered the shark while windsurfing, saying later that he believed “this is the moment that is the end of my life”.

The shark gnawed on his board and then dove deeper into the ocean, leaving him mostly unharmed.

While the shark ruined his board, it has not stopped Mr McDonald already buying a new one so he can return to the waves soon.
