Attempted murder charges after two women stabbed in Whalley Range

A man has been charged with attempted murder after two women were stabbed in Manchester.

The victims, aged 25 and 51, were taken to hospital with serious but not-life threatening injuries after being attacked on Cambridge Avenue in Whalley Range, Greater Manchester Police said.

A 56-year-old man, of no fixed address, has also been charged with criminal damage.

He has been remanded in custody until 17 April when he is due to appear at Manchester Crown Court.
