Officials have indicated that negotiators for the US and Iran have agreed a framework of a deal that would extend their ceasefire for 60 days and launch negotiations on the future of Iran’s nuclear programme. The agreement is yet to be approved by Donald Trump or Iranian leadership.
This announcement follows weeks of conflicting reports from both sides over the progress of negotiations and any potential agreement.
