Anthony Forde has left Wrexham by mutual consent.

Forde moved to the Stok Racecourse from Oxford United in the summer of 2022 and played a key role as Parkinson’s side gained back-to-back promotions – despite a spell out of the side for personal reasons.

The 31-year-old was later left out of Phil Parkinson’s squad early on in the 2024-25 season, meaning his only four senior appearances for the club this season came in the English Football League (EFL) Trophy.

The Irishman departs north Wales having featured 61 times in all competitions for Wrexham, scoring four goals.

Manager Phil Parkinson said: “I’d like to thank Fordey for his contributions since he’s been at club.

“He’s lived through a lot on and off the pitch during his time here, but he has been an outstanding professional and we really wish him all the best for the next stage of his career.”
