Huddersfield Giants forward Andre Savelio is to leave full-time rugby league with immediate effect to focus on his health.
Savelio, 29, has mutually agreed to end his contract with the Giants, one year after joining on a two-year deal from Hull FC.
The forward, who has also played for St Helens, Castleford Tigers and Warrington Wolves, managed just nine appearances for Huddersfield last season.
“The move is on good terms, and I’m going to take some time to look after my personal health, and reassess what my options are moving forward,” he told the club’s website, external.
