Emergency services were called to the centre in Kinross after the crash on Monday afternoon

Temporary airspace restrictions have been imposed around the Scottish Gliding Centre in Kinross after an 81-year-old pilot was killed in a light aircraft crash.

The pilot of a two-seater single engine aircraft died at the scene of the crash in Portmoak on Monday afternoon.

The restrictions, which also apply to drones, are expected to be in place for the next week while an Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) probe into the incident is carried out.

The Scottish Gliding Centre said the pilot, who has not been named, was the only person on board.
