Aberdare: Man, 74, dies after house blaze

A 74-year-old man was found dead after firefighters were called to a house fire.

His body was discovered after emergency services went to the property on John Street, Abercwmboi, near Aberdare in Rhondda Cynon Taf, at about 14:19 GMT on Thursday, South Wales Fire Service said.

The fire, which was contained to one property, is not being treated as suspicious.

South Wales Police said the man’s next of kin had been informed.
