A mother who lost her son after a crash on the A5 has said she hopes the new road will be built in her lifetime.
On Tuesday, a legal challenge to the proposed 58-mile (94km) dual carriageway scheme began at Belfast High Court.
The Alternative A5 Alliance group said it wants to challenge the decision to go ahead with the scheme and if that decision “stands up to scrutiny”.
Martina Glenn, whose son Simon was killed in 2011, said she was attending the rally in honour of her son.
