“Ar draws y byd heddiw mae awyren Teulu A320 yn codi neu’n glanio bob dwy eiliad, gydag adenydd wedi’u dylunio a’u hadeiladu yn y DU.
“Mae buddsoddi yn ein capasiti yn cryfhau ein ôl troed diwydiannol, yn creu swyddi gwerth uchel sy’n cefnogi’r sector awyrofod ehangach yn y DU ac yn sicrhau ein bod yn aros yn gystadleuol yn y blynyddoedd sydd i ddod,” ychwanegodd.
Croesawu’r buddsoddiad a wnaeth undeb Unite, gyda’r swyddog Rhys McCarthy yn dweud bod ffydd “anferth” yn cael ei dangos “yn sgiliau, ymroddiad ac arbenigedd o safon fyd-eang ein haelodau yng ngogledd Cymru”.
Dywedodd Daz Reynolds, cynrychiolydd Unite ym Mrychdyn, fod y “safle’n sicrhau dyfodol hirdymor y ffatri”.
Ychwanegodd Mr Reynolds fod y datblygiad yn cryfhau sefyllfa’r DU yn y maes ac yn “darparu cyfleoedd hanfodol ar gyfer cyflogaeth sgil uchel a phrentisiaethau i gymunedau lleol”.
“Mae’n dystiolaeth o’r hyn sy’n gallu cael ei gyflawni pan fydd y rheolwyr yn buddsoddi’n uniongyrchol yng ngallu eu gweithlu ym Mrychdyn.”
