Nottingham Forest points deduction: Loss of four points drops club into relegation zone

Breaking news

Nottingham Forest have been docked four points for breaching Premier League profit and sustainability rules, BBC Sport understands.

The immediate loss of points means Forest drop into the relegation zone, one point behind Luton Town.

They are the second top-flight team to be penalised for PSR breaches after Everton lost 10 points in November, which was reduced to six on appeal.

The deduction follows Forest’s hearing on 7 and 8 March.

More to follow.
