Meanwhile, Paul Mullin is among those who featured in Wrexham’s 1-1 draw in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Liverpool on Tuesday.

The striker has not featured for Wrexham this season, meaning he remains eligible to leave the club on loan this month having spent the opening half of the campaign at League One Wigan Athletic.

“With Mulls, he needed the game on Tuesday because he hadn’t had a lot of starts recently,” explained Parkinson.

“He’s trained well and played well on Tuesday.

“It’s that situation where we need to find the right route for him from now until the end of the season and we’re just working with him on that.”

Like Lee, Mullin also played a starring role in Wrexham’s surge up the football pyramid having netted 110 goals for the club, making him their seventh highest goal scorer of all time.

Mullin and Lee are both under contract with Wrexham until the summer of 2027.

Academy product Harry Ashfield also featured against Premier League Liverpool in midweek – with Parkinson previously stating the midfielder could leave on loan this month.
