Former England batter Dawid Malan has left Yorkshire by mutual consent.

The 38-year-old signed a two-year contract extension through to the end of 2026 last December but has been allowed to leave early to “seek a new challenge elsewhere”.

Malan, who made 22 Test appearances, joined Yorkshire from Middlesex in 2019 and scored 3,656 runs across 78 appearances in all formats.

“I have enjoyed six happy and successful seasons with Yorkshire, but feel now is the right time for the club to make a fresh start,” he told the club website., external
