Crowds rally at Taunton KFC for funeral of longest-serving worker

Tributes have been paid to the world’s longest-serving KFC worker who was an “icon for the town” on the day of her funeral.

Pauline Richards, who was known by many as Miss KFC in Taunton, Somerset, began working for the chain in the East Street restaurant in 1978.

She died last month and her funeral was held on Wednesday.

Many people stood outside the KFC to watch her coffin be transported in a horse-drawn carriage to her funeral.
