A man has been charged after reports that an individual armed with a large kitchen knife had smashed the windows of a vehicle in County Tyrone.

The incident happened on Roskeen Close, in Moygashel, shortly before 21:10 BST on Sunday.

A 51-year-old man was arrested.

He has been charged with a number of offences including criminal damage and possession of article with blade or point in a public place.

He is due to appear before Dungannon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

The police have appealed for information.
