The BBC asked President Trump whether he was disappointed by the level of the delegation that Russia sent to Turkey.
“Look, nothing’s going to happen until Putin and I get together. Okay?” Trump said.
“And obviously he wasn’t going to go. He was going to go, but he thought I was going to go”, the president continued.
Trump’s comment comes after Russia said President Vladimir Putin will not be on the list of officials attending the peace talks in Istanbul, Turkey.
