Couple reunited with ‘banned’ dog seized by police

A couple have described the moment their dog was seized like having a “child ripped away” from them.

Natasha Goodall and her partner Jordan Williams were shocked when the police came to their house with a warrant to take their seven-year-old dog Ralph away.

Ms Goodall said Ralph, their American Bulldog, did not have a violent history despite the warrant identifying the dog as having the characteristics of a dangerous breed.

The couple were reunited with their dog after South Wales Police confirmed he was not an XL bully.

Stricter rules about owning XL bully dogs were introduced after a series of high-profile attacks involving the breed.
