Hurricane Ernesto: Home floats away from swell caused by storm

Recently obtained footage shows a North Carolina beach house collapsing and drifting into the Atlantic Ocean as Hurricane Ernesto struck the east coast of the US.

Luckily, no-one was inside the Rodanthe home on Hatteras Island when it was swept away by a swell.

The National Park Service confirmed it was the seventh house to collapse on Seashore beaches in four years. Residents were warned to avoid the water due to debris. No injuries have been reported.
