President Joe Biden on Tuesday announced a new executive action that would limit the number of asylum seekers entering the country through the US southern border. But the ban only takes effect when the southern border has been “overwhelmed”.
The US president said the action was aimed at curbing migrant arrivals and will help “gain control” of the US-Mexico border.
