Beck was previously Worcester Warriors Women’s attack coach in the Premiership Women’s Rugby (PWR), where he worked with new British and Irish Lions head coach Jo Yapp.

For the past three seasons he has been in charge at Thunder in the Celtic Challenge, guiding them to the play-off semi-finals this season.

“Ash’s relatability to the players and the knowledge of his squad at Brython Thunder has proved invaluable,” said Lynn.

“He wants players to express themselves, be brave and have the confidence to attack what they see in front of them but within a clear attacking structure.”

Wales ended ended a nine-game losing streak with a 34-17 victory against Barbarians in an uncapped game at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, last weekend.

They return for pre-season on 3 August as they build towards the WXV Global Series.

They begin their campaign against South Africa at Cardiff Arms Park on Friday, 18 September, before playing USA at the same venue eight days later followed by Test matches in Japan in October.
