Peterborough United have completed the signing of Tom O’Connor following his departure from Wrexham by mutual consent.

The versatile defender – who can also operate in midfield – joined the Red Dragons in 2021 and played a role in each of the club’s three successive promotions from the National League to the Championship.

The 27-year-old signed a new three-year deal with Wrexham in July 2024 but spent the duration of the 2025-26 season on loan with the Posh, featuring 19 times across all competitions before his time with the club was cut short due to injury.

But he has secured a permanent switch to Cambridgeshire – signing a three-year deal.

Posh boss Luke Williams said: “Tom is an excellent player so we are really pleased to have him back with us.

“He is a strong character, it is brilliant news for us.”
