Snooker to stay at the Crucible until 2045 in £45m revamp

Matchroom Sport president Barry Hearn says it is “unthinkable” the World Snooker Championship would be played anywhere other than the Crucible.

The Sheffield venue will be refurbished to add up to 500 more seats, in a £45m revamp that will keep the sport there until at least 2045.
