Nat Sciver-Brunt: England captain returns from training camp in South Africa

Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt has returned from England’s training camp in South Africa for family reasons.

Sciver-Brunt is not expected to return to Pretoria, where England are playing an intra-squad series as part of their build-up to a home T20 World Cup this summer.

England are training and playing five intra-squad matches in Pretoria in a rare gap in their schedule. They have not played since the World Cup in October.

The camp was due to take place in Abu Dhabi and was moved to South Africa because of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

England are playing five matches in Pretoria, the second of which takes place on Thursday.

England are hosting New Zealand and India in white-ball series in the run-up to the T20 World Cup, which they begin against Sri Lanka at Edgbaston on 2 June.
