Man charged after ‘drugs found’ following police pursuit

A man has been charged after a vehicle crashed into a field near Templepatrick following a pursuit by officers on the M2 motorway in County Antrim.

It happened at about 21:15 GMT on Monday.

A 41-year-old has been charged with a number of offences including failing to stop for police, driving whilst unfit through drunk or drugs and possession of a Class A controlled drug with intent to supply.

He is expected to appear before Limavady Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
