Two men were arrested during the operation in Shettleston

Two men have appeared in court after one of the largest drugs seizures ever made by police in Scotland.

Around £10m of cocaine and heroin was recovered during a raid in Shettleston, Glasgow, on Sunday.

James Skinner (43) and Jordan Wetheroll (22) appeared at Glasgow Sherriff Court charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

They both entered no plea and were remanded in custody.

The Police Scotland operation followed a record week of seizures totalling almost £14m across the country.

Assistant chief constable Stuart Houston said: “This is one of the largest drugs recoveries ever made in Scotland.

“Information from the public is the lifeblood which helps us recover illegal drugs and to identify those involved in their supply.”
