A court heard the mother-of-three claimed she had tickets to sell as she wanted to be popular.

A woman who made £4,000 by claiming she had tickets to sell to see Oasis on their reunion tour has admitted multiple fraud offences.

In May 2025, Rosie Slater, of Staffordshire, offered tickets and VIP box access for the band’s shows at Wembley in August via WhatsApp.

The 32-year-old appeared before North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday where she pleaded guilty to 11 charges of fraud by false representation.

The mother-of-three was released on unconditional bail and is set to return to the same court to be sentenced on 6 April 2026.

The court heard Slater, of The Butts, Betley, Newcastle-under-Lyme, had offered the tickets for sale for the Wembley shows on 2 and 3 August because she wanted to be popular.

She did have a “genuine link” to a VIP box, said her solicitor, who described it as a sad tale, and a lie that ran away.

The tickets were on sale from 12 May via chat groups with victims paying between £130 and £160 for each one.

People made travel bookings under the false impression they had tickets for the Wembley gigs, and were left disappointed when they realised it was a scam.

The fraud had affected close friends and family, the court heard.

Slater, who had no criminal record, had been diagnosed with mental health conditions, magistrates were told.
