Gloucestershire head coach Mark Alleyne has signed a new three-year deal to remain with the county until 2028.
In his playing days, including seven years as captain, Alleyne won nine trophies with Gloucestershire as well as a promotion to County Championship Division One.
After returning in 2024 for a second spell as head coach, former all-rounder Alleyne led Glos to success in the T20 Blast that year, his first season back in charge.
“My commitment to the club has never been in doubt, and it’s great to get the contract over the line so we can focus on delivering high performances over the next three years,” the 57-year-old told the club website., external
The new deal also allows Alleyne to lead the One-Day Cup side, having previously missed the competition due to commitments with Welsh Fire in The Hundred.
“It’s fantastic news for both the club and our supporters that Mark will continue as head coach,” Gloucestershire deputy chair David Graveney OBE added.
“Following several players choosing to extend their stay with Gloucestershire we are delighted that Mark has also decided to remain with a club where he has enjoyed great success both as a player and as a coach.”
