Police and residents discharged after Belfast Holyland incident

Four people and several police officers who had been taken to hospital following contact with a suspected noxious substance in south Belfast have been discharged.

Six fire engines, one ambulance and three police vehicles attended the scene on Damascus Street after reports that a number of people had become unwell on Tuesday evening.

Police said an investigation has been carried out and no noxious substance was detected.

A quantity of suspected drugs were removed from the house and inquiries are ongoing, police added.
