A woman’s body has been found on land near a former cricket ground.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the body was found near the former Burnage Cricket Club on Brookthorpe Avenue, Burnage, at about 15:00 BST on Monday.
Officers are working to identify her and a Home Office post-mortem examination has been authorised.
A GMP spokesman said it was too early to say whether the death was suspicious.
