A petrol bomb has been thrown through the bedroom window of a ground-floor flat in Ballymena, County Antrim.
A number of neighbouring flats were evacuated after the attack at about 22:40 BST on Carnduff Drive.
No one was in the home at the time of attack and no injuries were reported, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said.
A number of windows were smashed and emergency services attended the fire, but the damage was contained to the flat’s bedroom.
Police said residents in neighbouring flats were told to leave their homes for a short time as a precaution.
They said they were treating the attack as arson and have appealed for information.
