St Joseph’s Primary was targeted by graffiti and play areas were set on fire

Two 13-year-old boys have been charged over vandalism at an East Renfrewshire primary school that was targeted by sectarian graffiti.

St Joseph’s Primary School in Busby was sprayed with offensive slogans and fires were lit in children’s play areas during incidents last month.

Police Scotland said the children would be “reported to the relevant authorities”.

First Minister John Swinney visited the school after the incidents was raised in the Scottish Parliament by Tory MSP Jackson Carlaw.
