Wiltshire athletes score second place in Hyrox endurance race

Think exercise is a young person’s game? Think again.

Mary Baker, 66, from Swindon, and Pip Read, 72, from Devizes, qualified for the Hyrox World Championships in Chicago after coming second in their age category.

The pair took on the demanding fitness challenge in Dublin. It combines multiple activities including running and sled pushing.

Before taking up Hyrox, the women said they had never run before and would struggle daily with general mobility and joint pain.
